Narasapuram MP K. Raghu Ramakrishnam Raju (RRR) never fails to point out the follies of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and his aides. In his latest attack, the YCP rebel MP trolled the CM for taking a selfie with his party men, all with smiling faces, on their way to console the victims in flood-affected areas in Kadapa. Tweeting the picture of the beloved CM, RRR asked in a satirical manner if the expression was matching the occasion. “Is it a celebration? Emo Mari! You decide,” he tweeted.
Jagan is on a two-day tour in flood-hit areas. During the second day of the tour on Friday, Jagan and his team are touring in Chiitoor and Nellore districts. He had visited the submerged areas in Tirupati, Tiruchanoor and interacted with the victims. The selfie was taken during his second day of the tour and instantly, it became viral on social media.
TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh also reacted on the viral selfie picture. He took to Twitter and said, “CM Sir! You have gone to console the bereaved of 60 victims who died working for your sand mafia dons. You are not there to take selfies with your sycophants. You have gone to inspect the loss running into crores of rupees that occurred due to your government’s negligence. It is not the time to giggle showing your teeth. Are you enjoying people’s miseries?” he asked.
On Thursday, Jagan inspected Pulaputthuru, Eguva Mandapalle, Diguva Mandapalle villages in Rajampet mandal, Kadapa district and in Vedallacheruvu ST Colony, Chittoor district. He examined the houses and culverts damaged due to the floods.
Consoling the victims, the CM promised to give 5 cents of land to each one of them in a safe place and also construct a house in the same with government expenses. Crops grown under the Pincha and Annamayya reservoirs were completely damaged and Jagan assured the flood-hit farmers of giving Rs 12,500 per hectare towards desiltation in the fields. People missing from the list of the flood victims can complain to the officials, he said.
He also promised to pay compensation to all those farmers registered with e-crop. He said that he had asked all the collectors to disburse the compensation based on e-crop data as many farmers complained of cultivating the land since long but not possessing title deeds of the same.
The tractors and autos of some people also got washed away in the floods. If those losing their vehicles can provide the officials with the registration numbers of the vehicles, the government would provide some help, Jagan said.
The CM also promised to organise job melas and try to provide jobs in private organisations to the youth in flood-hit areas, along with ensuring that banks extended loans to the affected. He also said that the officials would provide work to the victims under NREGS.
All these promises would be fulfilled in the next 10 days, the CM assured.
