Jagan’s Next Move Towards ‘3 Capitals’

Published by

Last month the YCP government withdrew its ‘Three Capitals’ bill in both AP Assembly and the AP High Court. But then the YCP government categorically stated that it would bring a new ‘Three Capitals’ bill in the coming budget sessions. This means the YCP government is stuck to the ‘Three Capitals.’

Making it true, the YCP government issued fresh orders for shifting of Waqf Tribunal from Amaravati to Kurnool. After making Amaravati the capital of the state, the previous TDP government set up many institutes in the capital region but now one after another is being shifted to either Kurnool or Vizag.

Waqf Tribunal is the latest institution to get displaced. Earlier Lokayukta and Human Rights Commission offices were shifted to Kurnool and Waqf Tribunal is the third such institution to relocate.

Kurnool would be the judicial capital under YCP government’s ‘Three Capitals’ proposal and so many central government agencies and tribunals are being shifted here for obvious reasons.

In the coming budget sessions, the YCP government plans to bring a comprehensive ‘Three Capitals’ bill that doesn’t invite legal troubles and with the ruling party having good strength in the Legislative Council, the bill can be passed smoothly.
