Earlier the Telangana government had cancelled the tenth standard board exams but did not take any call on other competitive and common entrance tests (CET). Students and aspirants who have applied for exams like EAMCET, PGCET, Law CET, ICET and other exams were in panic as the Covid-19 new cases are piling in Telangana especially in Hyderabad.
Finally this matter went to the Telangana High Court. Responding to this the High Court has asked the opinion of Advocate General (AG) on behalf of the government. This morning AG informed the court that he would take the matter to the Chief Secretary but there was a time shortage as PGCET is scheduled tomorrow and so the High Court asked the AG reply by 2:30 PM.
After consulting the Chief Secretary, the AG informed the Court that the state government wishes to postpone all the exams but did not mention anything about the rescheduling of the dates of the exams.
With the government clarifying things to the High Court, students were hugely relieved but they would like to know the rescheduled dates of the respective exams.
