YSRCP firebrand politician and minister Kodali Nani has given a counter to hero Nani. Responding to hero Nani’s comments, Kodali Nani said, “If really Kirana stores were earning more than the cinema theaters, then they would have really started Kirana stores only. All the theater owners would have started Kirana business. Why are they still running cinema theaters?”
Netizens are trolling Kodali Nani’s comments. They are lamenting that Kodali Nani lost it. People are saying that theaters were running well before when ticket prices were good and they were losing only when the government brought GO No. 35 and reduced the ticket prices.
Koadali’s defense that theaters were having the same old prices was also not agreed by many. “If everything is well, why are theaters in AP being shut?” asks a movie buff on social media.
Looks like, minister Kodali Nani is once again defending blindly without checking facts on ground. AP state government is widely criticized after the news of theaters in the state shutting went viral nationally.
Now, the government is on defensive mode. Let’s hope that ticket prices in AP would be resolved soon and give the much needed breather to the exhibitors, distributors and producers.
