Sharmila Hints On Entering Into Andhra Politics!

Published by

YSR Telangana Party president and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s sister, Y.S. Sharmila said she may launch a political outfit in Andhra Pradesh too. As of now, YSRTP is confined to Telangana alone. Sharmila hinted at expanding the party to neighbouring AP when mediapersons asked her if she has plans to set up a party in the other Telugu state.

“Political parties can be set up anywhere in the country. Is there any rule barring some areas for launching political outfits,” she asked.

In the wake of the speculations rife over Sharmila’s entry into Andhra Pradesh, her statements giving strength to the same have assumed significance. Further, there were reports of the brother and sister having a heated argument at their hometown Idupulapaya when they went there on the occasion of Christmas.

ABN Andhrajyothi editor RK revealed that the brother and sister had an argument over sharing of assets during their stay in Idupulapaya following which Sharmila left the place in a huff. Since then, the talk over Sharmila’s party in AP has gained ground and this morning, she also hinted at launching her political outfit in the neighbouring Telugu state.

It is also learnt that Sharmila is of the opinion that her brother is causing trouble to her in Telangana while being in Andhra Pradesh. She said that she was following a principle and would stick to it. She also revealed that arrangements were being made for the launch of her Rythu Aavedana Yatra from January 19 or 20.

She said that the police were trying to stop her from proceeding with the walkathon citing Covid protocols. The TRS government is trying to stifle the voice of the opposition parties showing petty reasons, she added.
