YCP firebrand leader Kodali Nani charged former chief minister and Opposition leader N. Chandrababu Naidu with getting a recce done at his party MLA Vangaveeti Radha’s house. Only Naidu would benefit if something adverse happens to Radha, he said.
Radha, minister Kodali Nani and Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi had been friends since long.
Radha revealed about the recce in our presence and immediately we informed about it to Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who responded to the development by heightening the security to the TDP MLA. Jagan also ordered for an inquiry into the issue.
The YCP leaders and the Chief Minister thought only about the safety of Radha. We did not think anything beyond that, he said.
Reacting to the comments that some of Radha’s supporters themselves were behind the recce, Kodali said that probably, the TDP leaders and his media could have found that by conducting an investigation into the matter. “Radha said that a recce was conducted and the YCP government ordered for a probe into the issue. The ‘dabba’ channels and ‘sollu’ papers supporting Naidu could be spreading this rumours,” he remarked in a satirical manner.
Radha’s father Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga was killed at the behest of Naidu. I know that and for the same reason, I reacted on the issue, the minister said.
When asked how would he respond to the criticism against him over his erratic and reckless behavior from within the party, Kodali said that none of the YCP leaders found fault with him. They could have spoken something against me off the record but on the record, there is no censure against me.
Further, he said that they had made no attempts to bring Radha into the YCP’s fold. Neither did our CM ask us to do it, he said.
