It’s been two years that Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi had quit TDP and he is yet to be welcomed by the ruling party in AP. With Jagan completely against party defections, Vamsi remained independent but most of the time he is seen with minister Kodali Nani, being friends for a long time now.
Nevertheless political observers believe that Vamsi is part of YCP without officially joining the party. Well this thought is untrue with a YCP MLA questioning where Vamsi belong to and YCP has whatsoever no association with Vamsi.
The MLA is Puttaparthi legislature Sridhar Reddy. Speaking at a private event, Sridhar Reddy said, “Vallabhaneni got elected on TDP’s B-form and he is criticizing his party chief Chandrababu. None of the YCP MLAs made any personal remarks against Chandrababu that he cried before the media falsely accusing the YCP. Vallabhaneni’s controversy is TDP’s internal matter and they should sort this out.”
These comments by the YCP MLA flared up political equations. Apparently Sridhar Reddy is a close aide of advisor to CM Jagan, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and the MLA’s comments suggest that there might be the YCP’s high command influence behind this. Sridhar Reddy is not the first YCP leader to comment against Vallabhaneni. In the past senior YCP leader Dutta Ramchandra Rao opposed Vallabhaneni into YCP.
So it is going to be tough for Vallabhaneni to deal with YCP leaders and cadre. But he would be having the backing of his long time friend Kodali Nani.
