The AP state employees are likely to gear up for a showdown today following the government orders that all the treasury employees should work from 10.30 am to 5 pm tomorrow, even though it is Sunday. Orders were issued that the employees should clear all the bills by 5 pm. Else, the employees were warned of disciplinary action against them.
The state government is determined to pay the revised salaries to the employees as per the 11th PRC by February 1, 2022 and hence, this exercise.
The officials concerned reportedly sent WhatsApp message to this effect to all the treasury offices in the state. All the cleared bills should be uploaded to the CFMS portal. The employees were directed to clear bills relating to the police and court staff too.
Orders were also issued that bills relating to the pensioners should also be cleared after they would be uploaded into the sub-treasury logins before 10.30 am tomorrow. All bills reaching the offices before 5 pm should be compulsorily cleared by the employees, the message read.
Orders insisting the above points were issued to the sub-treasury officials and deputy directors of treasuries in each district. However, the employees, who have been taking part in the strike, said that it would not be possible complete the entire work tomorrow as they would need service registers to process the bills.
It has to be seen how the employees and officials would stick to their words and the repercussions of the adamant nature.
