The other day AP CM Jagan tried to belittle the protest of government employees and he criticised the oppositions for provoking the employees. “At the protest, I noticed red flags in the front while yellow flags were seen behind. That is strange,” said CM Jagan.
These comments did not go down well with Left party leaders. CPI Ramakrishna called on the press and hit back at Jagan calling him a ‘Blackmailer.’
“So far 10 PRCs have been implemented from 1958. Despite the financial crunch, ex-CM Chandrababu announced 43 percent fitment to employees. Whereas this CM, cut down the fitment to 23 percent. If the government is unable to pay the employees their rightful compensation then for what sake the Ashutosh Mishra committee was appointed? The committee roamed all over AP for 18 months and talked to employees on PRC and submitted its report to the state government in October 2020. Why was the committee’s report not submitted to employees?” asked CPI Ramakrishna.
Further the communist leader said instead of addressing the concerns of employees, Jagan is blackmailing and threatening them. CM Jagan tried to suppress the protest of employees by police force but they were unsuccessful.
When employees approached the opposition for support, Left parties, TDP and Jana Sena came forward. But Chandrababu was confined to a statement while Pawan Kalyan did not join the protest. So we took the charge on behalf of the employees. With pressure from the YCP government, the JAC and Union leaders left red faced before the employees for calling off the indefinite strike.
Seems like, CPI Ramakrishna was really hurt with Jagan’s comments and he vented out anger on CM in an aggressive tone.
