Former Rajahmundry MP Undavalli Arun Kumar recollected the day when Andhra Pradesh Bifurcation Act bill was tabled in the Parliament exactly eight years back. Undavali called this day as a ‘Black Day’ in the history of erstwhile AP and reiterated that the bifurcation was done in an unscientific and unethical way.
“When Congress questioned BJP on Jammu & Kashmir bifurcation, Home Minister Amit Shah countered the party with Andhra’s bifurcation. Amit Shah and PM Modi both said AP’s bifurcation was not done in a systematic way and so the issues pertaining to the Telugu states are still lying without a solution,” said Undavalli.
The ex-MP also revealed that many Congress party allies were against AP bifurcation but without any debate and voting process, the bill was approved in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
Finding fault with Telangana CM KCR, Undavalli added when AP MPs talk about AP bifurcation in Parliament, TRS MPs shout and try to suppress the voice. “The day when the AP Bifurcation Act bill was tabled in Lok Sabha, KCR was not present in the house. Yet he took the credit and his party formed the government. KCR claims Telangana is the richest state but Andhra is poor. Now he is fighting against the BJP and I urge him to make us part of it and help Andhra get its justice due to bifurcation,” said Undavalli.
Every comment made by Undavalli is close to reality but sadly Telugu states CMs are not really to sit down and settle the issues between Andhra and Telangana. BJP will take advantage of every such opportunity.
