Andhra Pradesh government’s chief whip Srikanth Reddy stated that his party is ready to debate the mysterious murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy in AP Assembly. Apparently with budget Assembly sessions commencing from Monday, there is an anticipation whether the Telugu Desam will attend the sessions.
In order to provoke the main opposition, Srikanth Reddy challenged TDP and added that YCP is ready for any debate in the Assembly. “We shall give high importance to public issues in the sessions. But since TDP is politicising Viveka’s murder, we are for debate on it as well,” added Srikanth Reddy.
Criticising TDP and its chief, the Chief Whip said, we respect oppositions unlike Chandrababu. “In the last Assembly sessions, Chandrababu dragged his own family members in disgrace and boycotted the sessions. Whatever the TDP leaders are talking outside before the media, they should do the same in the Assembly hall and open,” said Srikanth Reddy.
This challenge of the YCP may not go down well. In case Viveka’s murder comes up for debate in Assembly, we have witness heated verbal wars and would lead to unwanted consequences.
But if the Assembly can progress in a peaceful dialogue manner, the mystery can unfold. This option is unlikely considering many past experiences.
