The budget sessions of Andhra Pradesh Assembly commenced this morning. AP Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan and AP CM YS Jagan Reddy reached the Assembly in Velagapudi and Governor Biswabhushan addressed the joint houses of Assembly and Council for the first time.
Post his appointment as Governor, Biswabhushan addressed the Assembly virtually owing to pandemic in 2020 & 2021 and this is his first personal address. After the Governor’s address, the Assembly will be postponed and the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting will be held to discuss the number of working days for Assembly.
From the YCP sources we hear that on 11th of this month, the AP budget will be introduced in the Assembly by Finance Minister Bugganna Rajendranath Reddy. From the estimates Bugganna will introduce Rs 2.5 Lakh crore budget and high priority will be given to the welfare schemes proposed by Jagan.
Since the YCP came to power, full-fledged budget sessions are taking place for the first time and these sessions are going to be very crucial for both YCP and TDP. The main opposition wants to target the ruling party on the ‘Three Capitals.’ This comes days after the AP High Court’s verdict in favour of Amaravati and CRDA.
