The Telangana Budget sessions commenced this morning and Finance Minister Harish Rao has introduced the budget. This is for the third time Harish Rao introduced the budget and for the financial year 2022-23, the budget is estimated at Rs 2.56 Lakh crore.
Yet again high priority was given to the agriculture sector with a budget allocation of Rs 24,254 crore. Also big fund was allocated to CM KCR’s flagship scheme Dalit Bandhu with Rs 17,700 crore.
With FCI declining to buy Parboiled rice from Telangana, the state government is focusing on alternative crops. For the same Rs 1000 crore was allotted for Palm Oil Cultivation.

While Harish Rao was introducing the budget, Telangana BJP MLAs raised slogans and interrupted his speech. Minister Talasani introduced a resolution to suspend BJP’s RRR for the entire Assembly session and it was carried. This move by the TRS government looked like a pre-plan strategy.
