In a move that could benefit a large number of people in the state, AP CM YS Jagan announced that Aarogyasri scheme would be applicable to the families below Rs 5 lakh annual income in the state. He said that no family should plunge into debts while availing medical treatment. CM Jagan said that the government is now offering Aarogyasri to the family that earns Rs 40,000 per month as well.
CM Jagan said as many as 1 crore 42 lakh new Aarogyasri cards are getting readied with QR codes. In the first of its kind in the country, AP state government had launched 1088 ambulances on single day – 108 and 104 emergency services – in the state. Each ambulance has been catered to serve each mandal in the state. CM YS Jagan said the government is also offering Rs 225 cash to the poor after the treatment at the government hospitals.
Meanwhile, CM Jagan has made sensational statement on Corona Virus pandemic. He said there couldn’t be anyone left without getting infected to Corona in coming days. However, CM Jagan added that it could come and go like fever. He assured people not to panic. He said the serious cases of Covid are relatively less.
CM Jagan reiterated that 85 percent of Covid cases are treated at home. He asked everyone to follow the government guidelines on the pandemic. He said the Covid can’t be controlled as the inter-state transport has been regularized. He asked everyone to be careful. He said the situation prevails till the vaccine comes into existence. He asked district collectors to monitor the situation thoroughly on Covid and its treatment.
