There has been a huge anticipation among YCP leaders for the AP cabinet reshuffle. Last week Advisor to Chief Minister Jagan, Sajjala commented that AP cabinet reshuffle/expansion is on the cards and CM Jagan is working on it.
The latest info is that the current AP cabinet would be resigning on March 27th and new cabinet will be formed on April 2nd on the auspicious occasion of Telugu New Year i.e, Ugadi.
From highly placed sources, CM Jagan will continue the same composition of five deputy CMs with inclusion of quota such as one member from SC, ST, BC and Minority communities and also one woman.
Though the AP CMO is yet to announce this officially, the YCP insiders received information on the date of cabinet expansion. During the cabinet meeting last week, CM Jagan informed all the ministers about the reshuffle but he asked them to work for the party. Jagan is in thoughts to give district charge for old ministers and assign them to further strengthen the party across the state.
Simultaneously the aspirants’ number is large. Senior leaders like Roja, Ambati Rambabu, Chief Whip Srikanth Reddy are hopeful of getting inducted into the AP cabinet.
CM Jagan needs to find a perfect balance in the cabinet which will last long till the next main elections. Also Jagan should be aware of the leaders who may miss out due to political equations and they need to be pacified as early as possible before they take any drastic decision which would affect the party.
