Finance minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy made a mockery of the comments by the opposition TDP leaders. Speaking in the Assembly during the budget session, Buggana termed the TDP leaders of having ‘Ukraine intelligence’ and said that the ruling YCP cannot even speak to them as they are ‘Ukraine batch’.
To this remark, many of the legislators and the Speaker too burst into laughter.
The TDP leaders’ remarks are based on two pillars – blatant lies and acting like in the film field. The other day, the TDP spokesperson, with a very saddened face, said that flights had been cancelled due to war in Ukraine. At the same time, he said that Kerala is issuing free tickets to Ukraine and was asking what was the AP government doing. How is this possible, he asked.
On one hand, he says all flights have been cancelled and on the other, he wants the AP government to bring back Telugu students from the strife-torn country.
He also mentioned of one other ‘hilarious remark’ by none other than the Opposition leader and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. While speaking to the media the other day, Naidu was conveying his best wishes to students in distress in Ukraine. “Naidu said “sankshobham (distress)” and “sankshemam (welfare)“ one after the other and specifically conveyed his best wishes to the students in crisis. How can he convey best wishes to distressed students,” Buggana pointed out.
This morning, the TDP leaders were trying to find fault with the YCP government as two Telugu students in Ukraine passed away. “I do accept that such tragedies occur. In this big world, people do die. The TDP leaders seem to searching and waiting for a crisis to turn the situation to their advantage.” They also try to take advantage from every death by giving a false narrative to it, indirectly hinting at the Jangareddygudem deaths that occurred recently in West Godavari. While the YCP claimed that they were natural deaths, the TDP men alleged that they were ‘government murders’ as they occurred due to hooch, which is being manufactured and sold rampantly due to government negligence in checking the menace.
“The TDP leaders themselves proudly claim that Naidu turns every crisis situation into an advantage and gain something from it,” the minister said.
