The exercise for reorganisation of new districts in Andhra Pradesh has reached climax. On Wednesday AP CM YS Jagan held a high level meeting with officials and discussed various aspects of reorganisation of districts. Also in this meeting, the date and time have been locked for the announcement of new districts.
There is a slight change in the initial plan to begin the administration works in the new districts. Instead of Ugadi i.e, on April 2nd, the new districts are going to be announced on April 4th and the muhurtham was also locked between 9:05 AM to 9:45 AM.
On January 26th, the state government released a draft notification for reorganisation of districts and invited suggestions, objections and opinion from public representatives and people. CM Jagan’s meeting with officials discussed the suggestions and stuff but we hear that the suggestions and stuff have been sorted out at District Collector level under the mentorship of the planning commission.
Jagan and officials had a look at the new districts, their names and the district centre and revenue division aspects. Some suggestions have been taken into consideration.
From the reliable sources we hear that the current 13 districts will be reorganised into 26 districts. However the notification for the new districts is likely to take time. Finalising the borders of the district, administration and division of employees among the districts are something the planning commission is working on.
