YCP MP V. Vijayasai Reddy getting infected with Covid-19 had given a chance to the TDP leaders to vent out their anger yet again on him. The TDP leaders took to Twitter, the designated battleground to fight with the ruling YCP, and made satirical remarks against Reddy.
Former minister and TDP leader Ayyanna Patrudu reminded that their colleague and BC leader K. Atchannaidu was insulted even when he was unhealthy, he questioned if Vijayasai Reddy was a human. Further, he reminded that Vijayasai Reddy tweeted, “Arogyamga gundrayila unna ee dramalenti Acchanna? Corporate aasupatri kavala? ESI vadda?” when the TDP leaders sought treatment for Atchannaidu, who began bleeding after he was arrested in connection with ESI scam and brought to Vijayawada from his house in Tekkali , even when he had undergone piles operation a couple of days ago.
“Now, why did Vijayasai fly to Hyderabad from Vizag in a special flight when he tested Covid positive? Do YCP leaders need corporate treatment in Hyderabad? When people are given ‘puliohora packet’ treatment, why did not should ‘gundrayila unna Vijayasai Reddy’ get admitted to KGH in Vizag? Does he not have trust in ‘alludi vaidyam’ in AP? Ayyanna questioned.
TDP MLC Buddha Venkanna too took exception on Twitter to Vijayasai Reddy rushing to Hyderabad for Corona treatment. He questioned the reason behind rushing to Hyderabad without getting admitted to KGH in Vizag. He tweeted: “Is it Corona positive or CBI positive in Viveka’s murder case?”
“Did he run away to Hyderabad? Did you get admitted in a corporate hospital in Hyderabad? Oho, so you do not believe in your ‘alludu paalana’? (pointing towards Jagan’s rule in AP)”

“Then why did you go to Hyderabad in a special flight instead of taking treatment at KGH in Vizag?” Buddha asked. Further, he said “By the way, is it Corona positive or CBI positive? Do you remember that you were shell-shocked on knowing about the murder of Vivekananda Reddy?” the TDP MLC tweeted.
On knowing that Vijayasai Reddy was tested positive for the virus, Buddha tweeted: “We are political rivals on Twitter but do not have personal enmity against each other. Neither do we have any property dispute. It is sad to know that MP Vijayasai Reddy was infected with “kanikaram leni Corona. I wish him a speedy recovery and pray to God that he should become active at the earliest on Twitter again.”
TD Legislature Party (TDLP) deputy leader and former minister Atchannaidu was taken into custody by the ACB sleuths in coonection with the Rs 151-crore ESI scam in June. Atchannaidu was the labour minister in the TDP government and the alleged scam took place in the purchasing of medicines and medical equipment.
Reacting to this, TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu alleged that Atchannaidu was “kidnapped” by the police and taken to an undisclosed destination.
The long hours of travel from Srikakukam district to Vijayawada, sitting in the car, complicated the health condition of Atchannaidu as he suffered bleeding and had to undergo surgery for a second time.
