Tamil Nadu minister Velu misinterpreted AP minister Roja’s political identity but in no time, he realised his slip of tongue comments and corrected. Going into details, Velu was addressing the TN Assembly while self-praising his government’s good deeds, Velu also hailed CM MK Stalin.
“MK Stalin’s mark of governance is receiving a lot of appreciation from other states. AP tourism minister Roja complimented the policy decisions being made by CM Stalin,” said Velu and he went on to say that Roja is a Telugu Desam party minister in AP.
The members of the Assembly were shocked upon Velu’s comments and the TN Assembly speaker intervened and made it clear to Velu that Roja hails from YCP not Telugu Desam. Velu realised his mistake and corrected his statements on Roja’s political affiliation.
That was bizarre from the TN minister. Probably Velu might be under the illusion that Roja is still in Chandrababu Naidu’s party.
