As part of the Rythu Bharosa Yatra in support of tenant farmers, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan visited Chintalapudi on Saturday. The local Jana Sena cadre hosted a public meeting and Pawan addressed that gathering.
Yet again Pawan reacted to the ‘Adopted Son to TDP’ (Datthaputrudu) remark being made by YCP ministers and leaders. “I’m done with the satires from YCP against me and they should know that I’m a screenwriter and can write better satires for all YCP leaders,” warned Pawan.
Raking up the plight of farmers, Pawan said, AP stands at number three spot in farmers suicide and in the case of tenant farmers, it is placed at second. If everyone especially farmers are happy with YCP government, there was no need for me to take up the issue of tenant farmers suicide. Eighty percent of farmers in AP are tenants and they have borrowed loans from banks. With crop failure, they are unable to repay the loans and due to financial pressure, they are dying with no help from the state government.
Questioning the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, Pawan asked what is CM Relief Fund doing? “I’m not that kind to wait and see that someone would come and wipe the tears of people in problems. I would think what can I do for the public and so I donated Rs 5 crore that would help many tenant farmers,” said Pawan.
Clarifying that he has no personal grudge against YCP especially against CM Jagan, Pawan stated that he is only criticising the policies of the state government and he would never indulge in personal attacks.
The Jana Sena chief’s comments make true sense. Political criticism should be on government policies instead of targeting individuals for exposing the government’s failures.
