Nimmagadda Row: SC Refuses To Stay HC Orders

Published by

The Supreme Court of India has made some serious comments on the YCP government in the Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar row. On the contempt of court, YCP government approached the Supreme to get a stay.

Advocate Harish Salve argued on behalf of Nimmagadda and he brought many details to the Supreme Court’s notice. Salve informed the Supreme Court that the AP government is not abiding by the decision of AP High Court and some ruling party leaders are making irresponsible comments on the court’s decision.

Reacting on this the Supreme Court said it has ample of knowledge on the whole episode and is deliberately not issuing a stay. “Even after the High Court and AP Governor informing, the state government is not taking Nimmagadda as APSEC. This is a terrible act and so we refuse to give a stay on the High Court’s ruling,” said CJI SA Bobde.

Also the Supreme Court allotted a week’s time for Nimmagadda to file an affidavit post the consequences of the High Court’s ruling.

What will the YCP government do now? They have no option rather than to reappoint Nimmagadda as APSEC but they are unwilling to do so!
