Minister K.T. Rama Rao lashed out at the BJP-led NDA at the Centre and said that it was not giving anything to Telangana but only benefiting from it.
In the form of taxes, people in Telangana had paid Rs 3,66,000 crore to the Centre in the last seven years which in turn gave us only Rs 1,68,000 crore through devolution. Where has the remaining Rs 2,00,000 crore gone, he asked and added that it could have been possibly spent in other states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Telangana is a proud contributor to India, he said, adding that the state was the fourth largest contributor to India’s economy.
It is good if Telangana people’s sweat and blood is being used for other purposes across the country but the public will get annoyed if the Centre says it is running the state, he asked. “Telangana is giving to you but you are not giving anything back to Telangana,” he pointed out.
He suggested that BJP state president Bandi Sanjay’s Praja Sangrama Yatra should be named as Asamardhudi Jeeva Yatra. Better name it as ‘Panikimalina Sannasi Yatra’, he said, adding that BJP had done no good to the Telangana society.
Now, there is similarity in the cuss words used by KTR and his counterpart in Andhra, Kodali Nani
