‘Health’y Telangana; Laudable Decisions By KCR

Education and health are important sectors that need any government’s attention. The government should invest a lot to provide high standards of education and the best of medication for people.

In the context of Telangana, CM KCR is making vital decisions on a quick note and implementation too is happening with the same pace. With a rapid change in political atmosphere in the country, KCR is trying his level best to put Telangana on top in the country and there is a lot needs to be done.

And falling in this line, yesterday KCR laid the foundation stone for three multi-speciality hospitals in Hyderabad. With the name, Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS), three hospitals will be constructed in Alwal, Erragadda and Uppal.

The primary motive of these hospitals is to give affordable medication for the poor and economically weaker sections. This decision of KCR is receiving a lot of appreciation and not just this KCR is behind zeroing the location of the hospital and designing the building. With a pinch of authority he says that Telangana has leaped forward in the health sector and this statement is endorsed by Health minister, Harish Rao.

KCR adds that rulers in united Andhra, ignored and provided step-motherly allocations to Telangana region but in the separate state, high priority is being given to those sectors which have immense potential.

Drawing a comparison of before Telangana, KCR confidently says that the separate state has better infrastructure and top quality medical equipment in government run hospitals. To improve the services in the health sector even better, the three multi-speciality hospitals were initiated for construction.

This news of three new multi-speciality hospitals is doing rounds in AP too because in the last three years not even a single new medical college/hospital was established by the AP government.

Enhancing the already established ones and instituting new hospitals, seems to be a great strategy of KCR. If the facilities continue to progress, the poor and needy would definitely get the best quality of treatment which is currently unaffordable by them. With such measures, the government hospitals can witness more people than in corporate hospitals but more importantly they would serve the people who are in dire need and spend less from their pockets.

Back in 2014, when Telangana was formed, there were only five medical colleges and now the number has gone up to 17. In the next three years, KCR’s plans to establish one medical college and hospital in all the 33 districts of the state. In the case of Nursing colleges, there were only six and most of the staff in these colleges hail from Kerala. Like medical colleges, the KCR government would set up 33 nursing colleges in all the districts and two institutes in Gadwal and Bansuwada have already been established, said KCR.

The pandemic has exposed India’s health sector and in order to make revolutionary changes and improvement, KCR is giving his big push and this deserves full support.
