TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu’s appeal to all oppositions to get united to fight against YCP government, was a clear message. BJP and Jana Sena Party are the other major parties in AP and though both the parties won just one seat in the previous elections, they can influence the voters in the next polls.
The Jana Sena led by Pawan Kalyan is making considerable progress in gaining people’s confidence. Simultaneously Pawan doesn’t want to split the anti-incumbency votes against the YCP government but he is in no hurry to form an alliance.
With Chandrababu and Pawan comments, buzz is that Telugu Desam and Jana Sena might reunite in future. Reacting to this, Jana Sena’s official spokesperson Nadendla Manohar said that their party chief will decide upon an alliance and for now there is no urgency for it. Manohar also added that their association with BJP will continue.
These are confusing statements from Manohar. The Andhra BJP doesn’t want to reunite with Telugu Desam owing to Chandrababu’s criticism on PM Modi while Jana Sena doesn’t want to split the votes in the polls and is ready to forge alliance with anyone who can give a tough fight to YCP.
Irrespective of these comments, the ball is in Pawan Kalyan’s court. His decision is ultimate and Jana Sena has to follow it.
