TDP leader and former minister Ponguru Narayana has been arrested by the AP Police in Hyderabad. In the wee hours of Tuesday the AP CID police reached Narayana’s residence in Kondapur and detained him in connection with the 10th standard board exams question paper leak episode.
The arrest of the former minister raked up a huge controversy. The family members of Narayana acknowledged the ex-minister’s arrest but they informed the media that the CID police did not disclose the reason for arrest.
Narayana is being shifted to Andhra Pradesh in his own car by a special team. He will be produced before the court later in the day and then sent to custody.
The media reports also claim that Narayana might have been arrested for his involvement in Amaravati’s CRDA affairs.
But post the leak of 10th standard board exams, AP CM YS Jagan said that TDP leaders and the education institutes owned by them are responsible for leaking the question paper.
Meanwhile TDP is fuming over Narayana’s arrest and he happens to be the second ex-minister put behind the bars after Jagan becoming the CM.
