Naidu Training Pawan & Lokesh To Spread Lies: Jagan

Published by

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy continued his tirade against TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan. Neither Naidu nor his foster son have the guts to claim that they had done at least some good to the people. The ‘yellow media’ also does not have anything to boast about their leaders, he said.

The YCP government can proudly proclaim that it had fulfilled 95% of the assurances mentioned in the party’s manifesto before the 2019 Assembly polls, he said.

Reddy was speaking at a public meeting organised to release funds towards ‘Fishermen Bharosa’ at Muramalla. He claimed that the YCP government was approaching the public after honestly fulfilling the promises made to them but the ‘dushta chatushtayam’ (which includes Eenadu, Andhrajyothi, TV5 and Chandrababu) and Naidu’s foster son keep spreading lies about the government, he fumed.

The opposition parties are not able to digest the fact that the YCP government is helping the public in their welfare, he said. “Have you ever seen an opposition party that is involved in the leakage of examination papers? On the top of it, the Opposition is also trying to avert investigation of one of their party leaders “involved in the ESI scam.”

“Have you ever seen a father impart training to his son in spreading lies and cheating and also going to the courts to obstruct the government from taking up welfare programmes,” the CM asked.

These people cannot be happy if some good is being done to the public, he said.

The CM listed out the various benefits the fishermen had begun enjoying after the YCP came to power. Jagan said that the subsidy on the diesel given to the fishermen had been increased from Rs 6 to Rs 9 a litre. The subsidy is being given when the fishermen are buying the fuel with the help of smart cards, he said.

In case, a fisherman dies after venturing into the sea to catch fish, the government would give an ex-gratia, the amount of which has been increased from Rs 10 lakh from the earlier Rs 5 lakh. All facilities, with international standards, are being provided to the fishermen, he said.

Jagan said that nine fishing harbours and four fishing landing centres were being set up. He said that all steps were being taken to improve the living standards of the fisherfolk.
