Popular Kinnera artist Mogulaiah was shot to popularity with his performance in the recent film Bheemla Nayak. It was the government of Telangana that brought him to the limelight a few years ago. He is the only Kinnera artist remaining right now.
Recently, the government of India has conferred Mogulaiah with the prestigious Padma Shri award. After being honored with such an award, the government of Telangana gifted Mogulaiah 300 square yards of land in Hyderabad and cash of Rs. 1 crore.
Meanwhile, Mogulaiah is saying that local BJP leaders are harassing him and he is ready to return his Padma Shri award.
Speaking about the same, Mogulaiah said, “It was the Telangana government which honored me with a Ugadi award a few years ago. Recently, I got popular after singing a song in Bheemla Nayak. After that, I got Padma Shri from the Indian government.”
“But recently, the local BJP leaders have been involved in a fight with me. They are arguing whether KCR has given one crore rupees from his own pocket. They said that it was the BJP government who brought me all this by giving me Padma Shri. I don’t want to involve in a dispute with them. I am ready to return my Padma Shri. I still say that it was my MLA and the government of Telangana who stood for me all the time,” Mogulaiah further added.
