Former Director of CBI Mannem Nageswara Rao always makes it to the headlines with his viral tweets. In March earlier this year, Twitter removed the ‘Blue Tick’ verification from his handle and he approached the Delhi High Court for its restoration. However the Delhi Court was not pleased with his petition and earlier this month the court dismissed Nageswara Rao’s petition with Rs 10,000 fine.
Now Nageswara Rao posted another controversial tweet and this time he requested AP CM YS Jagan to rename Andhra Pradesh as YSR Pradesh or YSR Land. “Since we consider Telugu as a pest and shovel it, it would be very nice to name the state YSR Land,” tweeted Nageswara Rao. Here the retired IPS officer was mentioning about the English medium being introduced in all the government schools snubbing the Telugu medium.
This tweet from the ex-CBI officer has gone viral and invited many comments and retweets from the Twitter users. Below the tweet, Nageswara Rao added that if Telugu intellectuals were born in this generation, they would have committed suicide.
Reacting to the Konaseema, Nageswara Rao stated that naming districts after individuals is not at all desirable. What if Govt decides to change State’s name after an individual?
The timeline of Nageswara Rao’s social media handles are filled with many views and looks like he is making full use of ‘Free Speech.’
