TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has slammed CM Jagan and his administration over disruption of internet services in Konaseema district for the last one week.
Breathing fire on Jagan, Naidu said, “You can’t give IT jobs. At least, let IT employees work from their homes effectively. Provide the internet,” said angry Chandrababu Naidu.
Naidu said the internet has become a daily essential which is part and parcel of everyone’s life. He said the banking transactions, small and large scale businesses, people’s access to education and health services have been badly affected.
Naidu said it is sad to hear Konaseema drawing parallels and comparisons with Kashmir in terms of internet shutdown. The people in Konaseema are said to be frustrated with the district administration’s measures and irrationality behind internet suspension even after the situation returned to normalcy.
Many IT employees, who are working from home, have moved to neighbouring districts and relatives places to continue their work.
After the May 25 violence allegedly due to Konaseema agitation against renaming the district after BR Ambedkar, district officials have blacked out the internet services including mobile internet.
This is the first-ever internet shutdown in AP till date. Attacks against the Minister and MLA are the reasons attributed by the police department resulting in law and order issues.
