CM Seat: TDP And BJP Least Interested In Pawan’s Proposal

The Telugu Desam was not pleased with Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Three Options’ and it was anticipated. Having ruled the state for three terms, TDP leaders fumed at Pawan for placing his demands before Chandrababu Naidu who has long experience as CM and opposition leader. This reaction from TDP was expected and Pawan might have anticipated it. But a similar reaction from the BJP should definitely worry Pawan.

The AP BJP is in no mood to accept Pawan for the CM position and this should be a surprising thing. Given the alliance both the parties were claiming, Jana Sena thought the BJP would accept the proposal instantly but it turned the other way out.

In other words, it has become a sensation that neither the TDP nor the BJP are ready to accept Pawan as the CM candidate. Pawan might have not expected such a rejection from the allied parties and it should certainly bother him moving forward.

Telugu Desam declining Pawan as CM candidate makes sense because TDP is somehow a much bigger party than Jana Sena. In the last general election, the TDP secured 39 percent of the vote while the Jana Sena got merely 5.6 percent.

At the same time, the BJP’s vote share was just 0.56 percent. When a comparison is drawn between Jana Sena and the BJP on vote share, ironically the saffron leaders are not ready to accept Pawan as CM candidate.

On the whole Pawan Kalyan received a bitter shock from the main ally and the secret ally.
