The results of tenth standard examinations raked up a huge controversy in AP and it took a political turn with TDP and YSRCP accusing each other. In his first reaction AP CM YS Jagan compared the results of AP with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state Gujarat.
“Due to Covid-19, for two consecutive years, the examinations were not held. Amidst the uncertainty of the third year, the exams were held. 67 percent students have passed the tenth standard examinations and this is two percent higher than Gujarat state,” said Jagan.
For students who failed in the examinations, Jagan added that his government has removed Supplementary and Compartmental options and has given students another opportunity to get through like regular students. “This is revolutionary reform we have brought in and instead of appreciation, oppositions are taking political advantage of it and it is unfortunate,” said Jagan.
The chief minister stated that the YCP government is transforming the education sector so that students get quality education and in future they can attain the abilities to compete in the racy world.
Jagan’s comments suggest that he defended the tenth standard results but did not utter a word behind the crucial logic in this controversy. TDP claims that Jagan government saved Rs 3000 crore from Amma Vodi scheme by failing two lakh students. YCP has rubbished these allegations.
