The Amaravati Parirakshana Samithi (APS) has been protesting against the YSRCP government ever since AP CM Jagan broke the ice of ‘Three Capitals’ in the Assembly last December. And now they have lodged a petition in the AP High Court challenging the ‘Three Capitals’ Gazette notification released by the AP government.
In their petition, the APS urged the court to stop the Gazette notification and also claimed that the GN Rao and High Power committees appointed to study the capital, are against law and have no sanctity.
The APS also requested the court to give directives to the AP government to not to shift the CM’s camp office, Raj Bhavan and Secretariat from Amaravati.
This petition will come for hearing tomorrow. It will be interesting to see how the AP High Court reacts on this whole issue.
