Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Bhimavaram in Narasapur Lok Sabha constituency at 11am today to inaugurate the 125th birth anniversary celebrations of legendary freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju. He would also unveil a 30-feet bronze statue of Alluri in Bhimavaram.
Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan is scheduled to accord him welcome at Gannavaram airport when Modi would fly from Hyderabad airport and reach Vijayawada.
Later, Modi, Governor Harichandan and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would fly to Bhimavaram in the same helicopter and attend the event.
The PM is also scheduled to address the public at Peda Ameeram. Along with Modi, 11 others including the Governor, the CM, Union Minister Kishan Reddy, Megastar Chiranjeevi, BJP senior leader Purandeswari, BJP AP unit chief Somu Veerraju, Nimmala Ramanaidu, representatives of Alluri Organisation Committee, Vasudha Foundation, Mantena Venkata Ramaraju, would be seated on the Pericherla Raju Vedika.
The meeting is scheduled to take place between 11 am to 12.15 pm. Around 60,000 people are likely to attend the meeting and 3,000 police personnel have been deployed at the venue on bandobust arrangements.
