The grand affair of BJP’s National Executive Committee meeting concluded last night. However, BJP tumbled before TRS party’s massive ‘poster’ campaign in Hyderabad but what is worth mentioning is that PM Modi did not utter KCR or TRS party/government in his speech and it surprised political analysts and BJP leaders, activists.
So why Narendra Modi did not take out KCR’s name in his speech? There are a couple of reasons and the primary is the Presidential elections. On the same day of Modi’s arrival to Hyderabad, oppositions candidate, Yashwant Sinha landed and KCR laid a grand welcome to the former BJP leader.
TRS party hosted a bike rally in support of Yashwant Sinha and later in a meeting KCR targeted PM Modi and raked up many issues like farm laws, GDP, fuel prices, his involvement in Sri Lanka’s affairs and misusing of constitutional bodies. Not stopping here, TRS erected a poster of KCR’s questions to Modi near the Parade grounds where BJP organized its ‘Vijay Sankalp’ public meeting.
Though BJP leaders countered KCR’s questions, Bhakts were anticipating Modi’s reply. And shocking everyone, Modi’s speech in this public meeting was far away from political criticism. Without taking out the names of KCR and TRS government, Modi said that Telangana will certainly get a ‘Double-Engine’ sarkar in the next polls.
Nonetheless political analysts believe that this is a strategy of PM Modi ahead of Presidential polls and someone like Modi who is very good at giving befitting replies, would not take criticism that intensively.
