Former TDP MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar is on the run and the Telangana state police have launched a manhunt for him. The reason being Chintamaneni was reportedly organizing a rooster fight in the outskirts of Hyderabad for the last six months.
On a tip, the police held flashed raids at a mango farm in Patenchuruvu where rooster fights were being held. But Chintamaneni narrowly escaped from getting caught as he fled the spot before the police arrived. The cops seized 32 roosters, 27 mobiles, 26 vehicles and 13.12 Lakh cash in their raids.
After an initial probe, the police came to a conclusion that Chintamaneni was the prime organizer of this rooster fight. The police deployed three teams to trace the whereabouts of the TDP leader and added that they would arrest Chintamaneni very soon.
The cops have taken up the case seriously and added that they would lodge a PD (Preventive Detention) Act against Chintamaneni for organizing this illegal activity and would not entertain such things in Telangana.
Chintamaneni has the habit of landing in controversies and it is him to be blamed.
