In its Mission South, BJP’s primary target is Telangana. By all odds the saffron party wants to dismantle the fort of TRS and KCR in Telangana and form the next government. Under these circumstances, a survey report showed encouraging results for the BJP.
Telangana will be going for Assembly polls in December 2023 and so, many media outlets, and independent organisations are doing their respective surveys in the state. A survey by AARAA Poll Strategies Private Limited listed out that if elections are held now, TRS would retain power but their vote percentage has drastically come down.
The survey stated that TRS would get 38 percent votes while BJP would get 30 percent votes and Congress would settle down for 23 percent votes. The vote percentage of BJP is quite shocking as it reported a big jump, all the way to 30 percent and only next to TRS.
The anti-incumbency against TRS and KCR is clearly visible in this survey. In 2018, TRS received 46.9 percent vote share while Congress stood second with 28.4 percent and the BJP managed just 7.1 percent. From the latest survey, BJP pulled off 23 percent more vote share which is really surprising.
Yet the survey by Aaraa group is quite confusing because any political party may show a difference of one or two or maximum five percent vote share. But this survey predicted that TRS’ vote share would fall by eight percent while Congress by 5 percent and BJP jumps to over 20 percent.
This survey report reached the Telangana BJP and they are overjoyed that their effort and fight against TRS is showing results. Yet BJP is not over the mark and it needs to work a bit more aggressively to bring down the KCR government.
