The recent flash floods have wreaked havoc on thousands of poor families living in the endangered villages of Polavaram in Andhra Pradesh. CM Jagan recently went on an aerial survey over the flood-affected villages and assured help to the displaced families which have been evacuated to safer places.
TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu criticised Jagan’s aerial survey, saying that Jagan will not understand the plight of the victims if he tours in a helicopter and asked him to take to the muddy roads instead. And this evening, Babu again took to Twitter and took potshots at Jagan’s aid to the flood-affected families.
Tweeting a news article in which villagers complained that Jagan offered them nothing but only 4 onions, 4 tomatoes, 4 potatoes, 5 kgs of rice and 50 gms of toor dal, Babu asked Jagan to “cross-check” his ridiculous assistance. The former CM will be visiting the flood-affected villages in Polavaram on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of July.
Several other TDP leaders have also been blasting Jagan’s half-hearted flood relief to the poor. TDLP leader Nimmala Ramanaidu has alleged that, instead of offering substantial help to the flood-affected people, Jagan’s government is resorting to silly tricks by claiming that it has resolved the Polavaram Upper Cofferdam height issue by increasing it by 3 meters.
