Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy claimed that their government had been implementing welfare schemes in such a way that many other governments in the country have been trying to follow the same. He said that the government had deposited Rs 65,000 crore into the accounts of beneficiaries directly.
Jagan was speaking at a review meeting on sustainable development goals held this morning. He said that the YCP government had brought about revolutionary changes in governance and many states are following us as a model.
“No other state in the country had implemented Amma Vodi. Only the YCP government is providing treatment for 3,000 types of diseases under Arogyasri.”
Jagan Reddy asked the officials to give wide publicity to the various welfare schemes being implemented by the state government. All the people should know about the welfare schemes and keep the beneficiaries reminding about the benefits they had gained, he said.
The CM also said that effective reporting was essential as the government was putting in all efforts to achieve the SDGs. It is a waste of attempts if there is no monitoring of reporting, he felt. He asked the collectors of respective districts to monitor the reports of the SDGs every month. The data should reach the collectorate from the secretariats, he said.
He claimed that there was no other state in the country implementing so many schemes on a saturation mode. This has given us a chance to stand on the top in the country, he said.
The YCP government had issued a calendar regarding implementation of schemes and it is not missing any of the programmes in it, he claimed.
