The Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh government has issued orders initiating a committee to explore the possibilities of new districts in the state. Very recently the AP cabinet gave its formal nod for districts reorganization and days after it, a committee is appointed.
This committee will be led by CS himself and will have six higher officials including planning secretary, CMO official and others. The committee has three months to study the case of new districts and submit its report to the government.
Earlier AP CM Jagan hinted that every Parliament seat would be converted into a new district and which means the current 13 districts will be divided into 25. But there are demands from all corners about districts and so this committee is appointed to listen to the people’s demands, wishes and other stuff.
