With the changing political scenario in the country/state, politicians do change their strategies. Opposition leaders in AP say with confidence that there will be a change of guard in 2024 in the state. Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan doesn’t want to split the votes in 2024 polls and the latest political developments suggest that he is turning the wheel in reuniting the divided forces.
The first development was Telugu Desam extending support to BJP’s candidate in the Presidential elections. This decision of TDP, changed certain equations in New Delhi and latest info is that Chandrababu Naidu will be soon flying to the national capital and is likely to meet BJP top brass leaders including Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Until the other day Chandrababu did not utter a word against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and on the eve of Independence Day, Naidu praised Modi to the sky. “Under the able leadership of Modi, India is on the path of development and I fully support the target for the next 25 years,” said Naidu. In other words, there are almost signs that Chandrababu is moving in favor of the BJP.
On the other hand, there is a shift in AP BJP’s approach. Its chief Somu Veerraju, who used to criticise TDP for every other reason, recently made positive comments about TDP. Somu claimed that TDP had done a lot of development and this comment stormed the AP political circles.
Meanwhile before Chandrababu’s tour of Delhi, TDP and Jana Sena leaders are planning to host a get-together before or on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra festival. Leaders of the two parties happened to be discussing the same. Besides this BJP’s national leadership is said to have informed AP leaders to go soft on Chandrababu and TDP. Now all eyes are on this meeting and the outcome.
