TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has served a final warning to all the leaders and in-charges of 175 Assembly constituencies in the state and he advised them to mend their ways and work for the party’s growth. Naidu expressed displeasure on leaders that they haven’t changed their attitude even after three and half years.
Taking an exception from his recent visit to Kuppam, Chandrababu observed that the party cadre is actively taking part in the protests called by the party but the in-charges and second grade leaders are not taking up the party events seriously. Fuming on them, Naidu opined that delayed intentions would harm the party.
Reiterating that he would allot 40 percent of tickets to youngsters, Chandrababu Naidu announced in the party’s general meeting that he would stick to his words, come what may. He also suggested that everyone should fight against the Jagan government and should not worry about the police cases or going to prison. He made it clear that the party will never forget those who fought against the Jagan government and went to jail.
Right after these comments from the TDP chief, there are increasing suspicions that the in-charges of some constituencies will be changed in the coming days. Naidu has finalised the candidates for a few constituencies while in-charges have been appointed for some constituencies. Appointed in-charges are most likely to be the candidates of respective constituencies but Chandrababu is carefully examining the performance of these in-charges.
If the performance of in-charge is not at all satisfactory, there are chances that the opportunity would knock another leader at the last minute. However, the upcoming elections have become a matter of life and death for the TDP. The future of TDP lies on the result of the 2024 elections. Hence Chandrababu is taking so much care on appointing candidates and in-charges.
