The Andhra Pradesh cabinet which met this morning concluded a short while ago and about 57 points were discussed. The biggest is Rs 1.26 Lakh crore investment to the state and it has been cleared by the Jagan government. Probably this is the biggest investment approval the YCP government had done post forming the government in 2019.
The AP government estimates Rs 81,000 crore investments in Green Energy while Rs 45,000 crore investment in the industrial sector. The AP government gave its consent for setting up of E-mobility in Kadapa, Life is Pharma in Kakinada SEZ, Mega Food Park in Krishna district and solar power plants industries in the state. Besides this the AP cabinet also discussed the expansion of Bhavanapadu port.
With these investments, the AP government anticipates close to 40,000 employment opportunities for the youth of the state. An additional 85 posts have been created in the AP Secretariat and the cabinet has approved to release the job notification regarding the same. And in a big decision, the AP cabinet granted a hike in the reservation to four percent for the disabled people.
Lastly the Jagan government cleared the YSR Cheyutha scheme that will be implemented from this month. The scheme will financially support women aged between 45 to 60 years who have no family support and other source of income.
Rs 1.26 Lakh crore investment is a huge deal and now the YCP government has to lay concrete steps to get them in an expeditious manner. Certainly the investment can bring a drastic change in the growth of AP.
