TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy has once again targeted his arch rival, Telangana chief minister KCR. Addressing the media at Gandhi Bhavan earlier today, Revanth accused the TRS supremo of joining hands with prime minister Narendra Modi to execute the PM’s masterplan to weaken the Congress party in the country.
Revanth’s comments were in lieu of former Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy’s Hyderabad visit and his high-profile meeting with CM KCR at Pragathi Bhavan on Sunday. The Janata Dal leader not only extended his support to KCR’s mega ambition to envision a BJP mukt Bharat, but also vouched for KCR’s candidacy for prime minister’s post in the next general elections.
“Will Kumaraswamy merge his party with KCR’s new national party? KCR is trying hard to create a distance between the Congress and its UPA allies. Why didn’t KCR meet AP CM YS Jagan, who is soft on the PM and why hasn’t he met TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who recently shook hands with Narendra Modi and supported the BJP?,” Revanth questioned.
Revanth went on to say that KCR will not meet Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, who recently betrayed Congress ally Uddhav Thackeray and became the CM with the support of the BJP. “KCR will not meet Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, but he meets the likes of Sibu Soren, Nitish Kumar and Kumaraswamy, who had formed the governments in Jharkhand, Bihar and Karnataka respectively with Congress’ support in the past, and force them to quit Congress and support his national party. He is clinically executing PM Modi’s masterplan to weaken the Congress,” said the TPCC chief.
“KCR must tell us how many NDA leaders he will meet and get their support for his national ambitions,” said Revanth. The firebrand Congress leader also said that both TRS and BJP have come into a secret agreement and are supporting each other in Telangana. “Both the parties are creating communal riots to sideline people’s issues,” Revanth alleged.
