In Nandyal district the YCP leaders used their influence and converted a school into a double bedroom house. This incident was reported in Panyam mandal and the school was constructed by the previous TDP government, reported by leading English daily..
Learning about this conversion, the local TDP leaders of Nandyal visited the school and alleged that YSRCP leaders, with the support of the YSRCP sarpanch, converted the school into their own house by removing blackboards, foundation and inauguration plaques and whitewashed.
The TDP leaders took this issue to the notice of Education department authorities. Deputy District Education Officer M. Anuradha inspected the school based on the allegations and seized the building and handed over the keys to the headmaster of the school.
TDP Nandyal leader G Venkat Reddy informed the media that this building was constructed at the cost of Rs 6 Lakh to Rs 7 Lakh by the previous government. With students stopped coming to school in the last five years, the school had closed its doors.
TDP says that, The YCP government and CM Jagan make tall claims that they have revolutionised the education sector but the irony is that a school is converted into a double bedroom house for ruling party leaders.
