YCP: ‘Rich Amaravati Farmers- Rolex Watches & Bouncers’

Published by

The YCP government is unsettled over the Paadayatra being staged by the Amaravati farmers in support of Amaravati as the capital of AP. Every other YCP leader is criticising this Paadayatra and blamed TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu for instigating farmers against the ‘Three Capitals’ brought by YCP.

AP Civil supplies minister Kanumuri Nageswara Rao took a direct dig at the farmers who were marching. “Never ever have I seen farmers wearing Rolex watches and protesting. Also I’m surprised to see farmers roping in bouncers for their security. This clearly looks like a staged drama and none other than Chandrababu is behind these farmers. Such wealthy farmers were never seen in Indian history,” said minister Karumuri.

The YCP minister reiterated his government’s stand on ‘Three Capitals’ and added that all the regions in the state will benefit with this proposal. “Had there been an investment of Rs 4 Lakh crore on Amaravati, the state would go into deep trouble. Chandrababu’s thoughtless policies might have turned AP into Sri Lanka,” said Karumuri. The minister confidently said that people across the state are supporting ‘Three Capitals’ and it’s CM Jagan’s dream to see all the three regions flourish in development.

Minister Karumuri’s comments against farmers are unnecessary. Are farmers ineligible to wear Rolex watches? Moreover bouncers are roped in amidst fears that they might be attacked anywhere, anytime. Jagan government claims itself a pro-farmers one and on the contrary, ministers are insulting farmers who are seeking justice.
