Narsapuram MP Raghurama Krishna Raju turned into one of the biggest critics of the Jagan-led AP state government. Raju’s comments and hurls at YSRCP are indeed damaging the government and party. However, YSRCP seems to be hesitant to take action on Raju.
But Raghurama Raju continues his ‘objective criticism’ against Jagan’s administration and the party. The other day Raju made serious allegations of abuse of power and demanded Jaganmohan Reddy to take action against some ‘Reddy’ people in the party and government whom he alleged to be acting in a high-handed manner. Raju had alleged that some YSRCP leaders have been given posts in the government and they are working for the party at the expense of public exchequer.
Amidst this, Raghurama Krishna Raju has also said several good words about late YS Rajasekhar Reddy. He said YSR had transformed himself from politician to a leader after he became the chief minister. Raju asked YS Jagan to emulate his father. Raju said, “Since you are at a younger age and want to rule the state for another 30 years, it is important for you to transform yourself into a true leader by following into your father’s footsteps. Stop giving preference to only one community in the government and the party as people cutting across the castes and communities have voted for you to power,” said Raju.
Interestingly, Raghurama Krishna Raju divulged that he has named his grandson after late YS Rajasekhar Reddy as a mark of love and respect for the great leader. Raju said, “My grandson’s name is Rajasekhar Reddy.” Raju has retained Reddy in the name of his grandson.
Raju asked Jagan to give up his biasedness and favouritism towards ‘Reddy’ community. He asked him to give importance to everyone. Bringing up the issue of TDP and how the party lost in 2019 polls, Raghurama Raju said, “We all were successful in taking into people highlighting TDP’s favouritism to one caste.”
He added, “Now without anyone putting any effort, it got into people that the present government is acting in favour of one single caste. This is not a good sign for the government.”
Raju concluded saying, “We needed people of all castes till election, whereas after election, if we serve only one caste, this is going to backfire.” He added that it is not fair on Jagan’s part to not take action. Overall, Raju naming his grandson as ‘Rajasekhar Reddy’ and including even ‘Reddy’ in his grandson’s name is certainly a laudable move as it shows his love and affection cutting across caste.
