Razole: It’s A Flip-Flop Between Janasena & YSRCP

In a big development, a senior YCP leader will soon be joining Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena. He is Bonthu Rajeshwara Rao and he quit the YCP, the other day. It’s a common phenomenon for politicians to join another party but this generally happens before the elections and this is mainly to get a ticket or contest the polls.

In the case of Bonthu, he hails from Razole and he contested on YCP’s ticket in 2014 and 2019 but he lost twice. Before 2019 elections Rapaka was in YCP but he was not preferred over Bonthu. So Rapaka quit YCP and joined Jana Sena. He managed to get B-form from Pawan Kalyan and contested and secured a win as well. In fact Rapaka was the only MLA of Jana Sena to represent in the AP Assembly.

With time Rapaka distanced himself from Jana Sena. Now he is closely associated with YCP and there are reports that Jagan is considering giving a ticket to Rapaka in 2024. Bonthu, who is anticipating a ticket for the third time, learned that Jagan is not interested. Upset with YCP leadership, Bonthu quit the party.

Recently Bonthu met Pawan Kalyan and held talks. From party insiders, Bonthu requested Pawan Kalyan to allot Razole ticket in 2024 and the Jana Sena chief is said to be convinced with Bonthu’s version of political equations. Pawan reportedly assured Bonthu about a ticket if the latter joins the party.

Having received a confirmation from the Jana Sena chief himself, Bonthu resigned from YCP on Thursday. The date of joining Pawan Kalyan’s party is not decided yet but will happen shortly.

Pawan and Jana Sena too are serious on Razole. The local Jana Sena cadre is fuming over Rapaka for betraying the party and working with YCP. Jana Sena wants payback Rapaka for deceiving the party and the party feels that Bonthu can certainly do it.
