The discussion and debate around Andhra Pradesh capital(s) is never ending. After withdrawing the ‘Three Capitals’ bill, the YCP government is maintaining extreme secrecy in the capital city. Amidst this AP IT minister Gudivada Amarnath’s sensational comments suggest that the ‘Three Capitals’ bill is likely to be tabled in Assembly shortly.
“We will definitely bring a new bill on the ‘Three Capitals’ very soon. Get ready from next academic year,” Gudivada Amarnath told the journalists at AP Assembly media point. Indirectly Amarnath has sent out hints but the YCP government is in view of declaring Vizag as Executive capital.
Strengthening these comments, the other day in AP Assembly, CM Jagan opined that Vizag would be an excellent Executive Capital of the state. “Vizag is a well developed city and is the best city in the whole of Andhra. It has good roads, electricity and water supply. If another Rs 10,000 crore is invested in Vizag, the city can see more development instead of pouring down Lakhs of crore on one imaginary place,” said Jagan.
Even before minister Amarnath’s comments, the YCP government has initiated many things in Vizag. CM’s camp office and various departments are likely to be shifted to Vizag from Amaravati. The construction of CM’s camp office is already in progress and going by Amarnath’s comments, Jagan might be the first person to relocate to Vizag from Tadepalli.
