Telangana CM KCR hoisted the national flag marking the occasion of Hyderabad Integration Day. This event was organised at Public Gardens and KCR said there is a threat for Telangana and the nation from divisive forces and indirectly he meant the BJP which is celebrating the Hyderabad Liberation Day.
“On September 17th in 1948, Hyderabad joined Independent India. From Monarchy rule, Hyderabad has stepped into democratic rule. But some forces are trying to take political advantage of this. We need to be aware and alert of these forces,” said KCR.
The Telangana CM said, “This Integration Day celebration is an extension to India’s 75 years of Independence. Telangana people’s struggle is invaluable from the monarchy rule. Hyderabad was a separate state till 1956 and against the wishes of the Telangana people, AP was formed with Hyderabad. In United AP, Telangana people were discriminated and humiliated. The government of India tried to eliminate the Telangana agitation every now and then. In 2001, I launched the agitation and finally the separate statehood was achieved in 2014.”
KCR alleged that divisive forces are using September 17th for narrow political purposes and distorting the history of Telangana. “Telangana people had to face many hardships for 58 years. Such situations should not happen again. Extremist forces are creating unrest in the country and people should not stand in the way of anarchy in the land of Telangana. People should counter attack such divisive forces,” said KCR.
In his speech, KCR did not utter a word about BJP but he indirectly targeted the saffron party.
