Union Home Minister Amit Shah made some interesting remarks on the politics in Telangana. Shah, who was in Hyderabad on Saturday to take part in the Telangana Liberation Day celebrations, hinted at the likelihood of the TRS and Congress forming an alliance, any time after the Assembly elections next year. He directed the party leaders to explain about this alliance to the people and make it clear that both the parties can be treated as one entity, during their campaigning. He also said that the Congress is ‘out of the scene’ in Telangana.
Shah also issued guidelines to the party leaders regarding strengthening the BJP in view of the upcoming Assembly elections and the bypoll for Munugode constituency. The Union home minister said that he would be available for consultations to the party men at any time.
At the BJP core committee meeting, Shah said that they have been receiving positive reports about the result of Munugode bypoll. However, he asked the party men not to rest till victory was registered in the bypoll.
It is learnt that Shah asked the party leaders about the results of the action plan suggested to them during his previous visits. Reportedly, Shah also inquired about the prospects of Operation Akarsh which the party had taken up to put a check on the TRS in the state.
The remarks on the TRS-Congress alliance have become the most discussed in the political circles of Telangana.
